Position Description:

Mount Carmel Clinic is a non-profit community health centre located in the North End of Winnipeg. MCC provides a wide range of integrated primary health, community and early learning services to inner city residents, Indigenous persons, newcomers and others who require our unique approach. Under the leadership and direction of the department Director, the Program Manager has primary day-to-day management of Sage House, including human resources, program management and development, financial accountability and quality and innovation. Sage House is a drop in and outreach program the services street involved people who identify as women, who use drugs and who are involved in survival sex. This important work happens thanks to a dedicated team of experiential staff. The Program Manager works with Mount Carmel Clinic (MCC) management to support the staff team, align programs and services with client needs, integrate services within and outside MCC and encourage teamwork and collaboration across all MCC departments.



Degree at the Bachelor level in a related discipline, or an acceptable combination of education and experience


Management Experience

Minimum of two (2) years of management experience, including human resources management


Program/Community Knowledge

Minimum of five (5) years of experience working effectively in a [related service/program] and similar population;

Demonstrated knowledge of basic financial management and program management, evaluation and development;

Understanding of the assets, challenges, needs and interests of MCC’s clients and community


Critical Skills

Proven knowledge and ability in critical thinking, decision-making, change management, problem-solving, crisis management and conflict resolution


Focus on Results

Demonstrated ability to manage programs, projects and initiatives to effectively and efficiently achieve their goals and produce expected results/outcomes
