Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week*

Anne Ross Day Nursery is a 48 space licensed preschool and 16 space infant site. ARDN is a highly inclusive early learning facility that has a renovated infrastructure to support the success of all children at all developmental levels. We are a unique program that provides a hot lunch for the children who attend at no additional cost to the family. Our priority is to enhance children’s overall health, wellness and development through nutrition for the first five years as part of our regular program.
The Early Childhood Educator (ECE), as part of a team of ECEs and Child Care Assistants, is responsible for delivering child-specific, age appropriate programming to all children in the program, using a current understanding of child development principles. The ECE assesses each child’s needs and plans and provides programming that promotes positive social, physical, emotional and cognitive development. The ECE fosters a clean and safe environment that encourages healthy interaction and learning.
ECE II or ECE III Classification from the Manitoba Child Care Program
Current Infant/Child First Aid and CPR Certificate
Skills, Expertise and Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with/caring for children in a child care facility
Demonstrated understanding of child development theory and principles and ability to put that understanding into practice
Proven knowledge and ability in critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and focus work-related activities to effectively and efficiently achieve goals and produce expected results/outcomes
