Sage House
Description
Sage House is a street women's health, outreach, and resource centre that provides a wide variety of services to women and transgendered women.
Located at 422 Dufferin Ave., we offer a welcoming and safe environment for women to access information and harm reduction tools, and to explore their choices in a supportive atmosphere. Our drop in also provides meals, laundry, and showers, as well as access to a phone and computer. In addition, a full range of nursing services are available on a drop-in basis.
Staff members provide support and advocacy with regards to resources, education, addictions treatment, Employment and Income Assistance, housing, Child and Family Services, justice, and harm reduction. We also offer programs and workshops, facilitated by staff and peers, on a wide variety of topics chosen by the women themselves.
Finally, Sage House has a street outreach team that connects with women currently working in the sex trade. They can provide harm reduction kits, crisis intervention, and support.
Eligibility
Women (including trans women) who are street-involved and/or are involved in the sex trade may access services. We have no geographical boundaries.

Wishlist
Financial Donations are always welcomed at Sage House. We can work together with a donor to determine what they might like to see happen with their dollars. In the past we have utilized donations to (for example) bring an elder to Sage House on a regular basis and to provide recreational opportunities for participants. In addition, funds are utilized for some of our basic seasonal needs such as mittens and hats. Please make financial contributions payable to Mount Carmel Clinic.
We are also very grateful when a donor chooses to provide some of the items we have listed on our ongoing wish list. These donations help up provide ongoing support in some of the most basic ways to our participants.
You can view and print the current wish list HERE.
Donations can be dropped off at 422 Dufferin Ave. Please call 943-6379 to arrange a drop-off.
